I want an apron
Permalink Closed

I am looking for aprons!  Yeah, seriously.  I am a klutz in the kitchen and I have had it with splashing my clothes with baking mixes, sauce, and sputtering oil.

I found a few just now by accident on www.shopintuition.com but does anyone know where I might find more?

oh what do you want on it.  I found a really cool one at jc penny's.  it had all of emeril's sayings on it.  Let me know what you want and I'll search too.  I need an apron too.

Well for an apron, I'd probably suggest something from a cooking/kitchen store with large front pockets.

Crate and Barrel has these for $12.95-14.95 in several colors:

When I was in Anthro over V-day weekend they had quite a few and they were adorable and retro and really cute (about $20-$30).  Here are two online, but the ones in the store were way more adorable!

I bet ebay has some too.  I think I'm going to get me one soon too, because I am also a messy cook

thanks for all the suggestions so far.  I really like all these choices!  The Anthro one seems to fit my style best, but I am also eyeballing the cherry one from Intuition and the striped ones at wishingfish and crate and barrel.

Go to eBay and search for 'vintage apron' - I have a couple off eBay that are adorable that I got for under $10 each. They usually have a ton.

Anthro has SO many cute ones. They're mainly in the store though (not on the web). They are mainly "hostess aprons" and not really functional for heavy duty cooking since they are pretty thin. I got a really cute pink and orange paisley one for Christmas.

I got a really cute one 3 years ago on ebay made out of Roger la Borde fabric.

They have some cute ones.

Lotta Jansdotter has the most stylish aprons I've ever seen but they are a bit pricey. There are four different styles ($44-$66), all of them linen.

Same here! I was going to get the shoulder tote but it was sold out... I wonder who else might sell them. Has anyone seen them by any chance? And her address books are cute, too!

Oooooh, I'm loving the ones Heather posted from wishingfish!  Who knew aprons could be this cute?  I have tons in my kitchen (but they are all sooo cheesy!  literally! with cheese pictures from all over the world).

okay, this weekend I ended up going to Anthro anyway, so I got the beige one because it's sturdy and has big pockets.

But get this:  we went to Max Studio afterwards and the associate chit chatted with me about my apron purchase, she said that her friend just returned to the states from the UK and reported that some girls over there were wearing aprons as fashion items on the street!  I will have to keep my eye out for that, meanwhile I will keep mine in the kitchen.
