My surgery is in less than a month so I am trying to get all of my ducks in a row prior to the big day. I am wondering what you all wore for tops/shirts for that first week you are unable to put your hands over your head.
I asked on the makemeheal boards and they were pretty much useless. They all suggested that I get some old flannel shirts from my SO. If you knew my SO you would know how totally hilarious and completely insane that suggestion is. One girl suggested button up shirts, but after looking in my closet I realize that every button up that I own is a nice dress shirt which I am not too keen on lounging around the house in. Did you all just wear hoodies for that first week? It seems like that would be pretty hot in bed and it would totally suck if I had to go somewhere. HELP ME!!

I have never had surgery, but maybe you could get some short sleeved hoodies that zip up. I got a few at Target a month or so ago and they were very inexpensive. They are comfy and not as hot as the long sleeved ones.
I have never had this surgery either, but I remember when my sister in law did and I dont recall her wearing button up tops? I think she wore just really soft tees and some kind of bandeu thing under them.
If you really feel you need button up I would suggest this style by James Perse. Its cotton, with super soft stretch sides ( so they stretch to any size bust) and you could totally wear this out of the house and look put together.

I was nasty I wore the same damn hoodie for the first three days. You want something soft since you're going to be wearing it all the time. also keep in mind, when sleeping you can just sleep in your bra. I wore a sports bra that snapped in the front for comfort. I'm sure your Dr recommended something similar. The GAP has some really soft hoodies that I recommend. But they say you can't lift your arms over your head but you can lift them a little so you can wear a normal shirt, I just recommend nothing too fitted just so you're comfy. a loose t-shirt is fine.

I went the hoodie route as well, like Collette my doc recommended a sports bra with hook closures in the front. I was only in pain for about 2 days and sore the rest of the week, after that I was wearing pullover tops again.
Oh yeah, I also wore spaghetti strap tanks underneath that were easy to strap down and pull down through my legs instead of over my head.
