I am really not feeling all the flare jeans out there right now. I just feel like they look so dated and 90s to me.

I think they are very flattering on a lot of people.  I just don't like the super flared styles.

I agree with Cortney's example.

Yeah, that's sort of what I'm talking about..the extreme flares. Not good.

I don't like the super flares either, I'm short and they make me look funny. I'm frustrated with True Religion right now because the *only* style of theirs that even comes close to fitting me are their extremely flared jeans! Argh!

I've noticed them sneaking back in too.  I wore moderately flared jeans for probably longer than I should have.  But, now that they're coming back, I can still get away with it!  My body shape is one that is flattered by a little flare (not too much).  Polyvore Blog featured an entry on this subject back in Sept.

I totally agree. I'll still do bootcuts with just a hint of flare, but even some bootcuts look 90s to me. I don't think enough time has passed for them to come back!

I have a pair of William Rast Daisy flares and they look really cute IMO. I had them hemmed to wear with flats which makes them look a lot less hippie.

I like a slight flare. I have always felt that my thighs were a bit large, (thanks mom!), so I think a flare helps to balance my legs out.

I like the first pair Cortney posted, but I agree - super flares look so 90s.

I have never been in to super flared jeans, they always are unflattering on me.

Funny enough - boyfriend jeans are the newest trend ( at work our buyers have informed us that this will be the "item" they are really promoting for spring) and that style is definitly 90's to me as well. But like with anything I guess it is all about how you put your own personal style with a trend that really makes it unique!

i am actually really excited that the flare is coming back. it has been hard to find a pair of flare jeans for a while. ever since the skinny jean came on the scene. i absolutely loath the skinny jean and love love love a little flare. i even like the second pair cortney showed, but my mom always told me that i should have been born in the 60's.

i have tried on a few pairs of skinny jeans, and even bought a pair once in a moment of weakness, but got them home and in my own mirror, not a store "everything looks great" mirror, they were bad. they did this funny crotch thing and i felt like i had to keep pulling them up.

I agree - flare still looked dated to me - like they are not ready to come back
