I get to go on a shopping spree for a friend!

So, I have a friend who is seriously lacking in clothing. She is horrible at shopping & hates it. I've offered to do some shopping for her online (on her credit card of course) to beef up her wardrobe... Fun, right?

The tricky part is she is TINY TINY TINY - she is really smaller than a size 0, but that is what she tends to wear. No boobs. Barely 5 feet tall. I'd shop in the kids section for her for sure but thats hard to do online.

I'd like to get her some great basics to take her thru the year (she lives in LA, so no winter stuff necessary) and some funky stuff mixed in for going out.

Ideas, suggestions? I can spend about a $1000 of her money. I can't wait!

Oh, neato! Lucky, lucky!

Well, in LA, you can pretty much get super tiny sizes. The only thing that sucks though are the length, imo.

Whee! Sorry, I don't have any suggestions but wheeee!

Yay! I get to do the same next week for a friend of mine that had a baby a few months ago and wants to spice up her work wardrobe now that she's back down to her normal size. I don't quite have $1000 but it's still fun.

I'm pretty small and I find that I tend to have better luck at places like BCBG, Intermix, and other mid-level brands. They cut a little smaller but are still really well made and not ridiculously expensive.

hey! we have winter in LA!

i have a friend who is ultra-tiny like that--i know she LOVES blue cult jeans because apparently they are cut proportionately for her eensy body.  you could probably also get away with shopping in stores that carry juniors sizing, since they tend to be cut narrower.

Oh how fun! I am really tiny (clothes at stores like BR and JCrew are often to big for me) and I'm totally flat-chested. But I'm around 5'5".

Shopping online can be tough because sizing tends to vary so much (even at places like the Gap sometimes the 0 will fit, sometimes it will be huge).

For jeans I've had good luck with most designer brands, though obviously she'll need to get hers hemmed.

Tops can be tough due to the lack of boobs. I tend to buy a lot junk at juniors stores like American Eagle, Forever 21, etc. because their things are cut really small.
For basics, the smallest sizes at American Apparel fit me nicely. I really like this top because the ruching makes me look a little busty!

I'll try to think of some more ideas for you.
