shopping on nyquil is fun!

Just made a few fun little purchases... we had the code in the special offers section for delias, so I got:

kelis dress (the green one):

kimmy skirt (in cream - on the right)... to wear with espadrilles and a tank:

...Any accessory/outfit suggestions welcomed for any of the above!

Then, inspired by Charlly's column this month (not to pimp the site too much or anything!), I headed over to AE and picked up this dress:

And then I got this one to wear as a bathing suit coverup (my bikini is aqua blue, white, and brown striped)

I am excited about my little finds for spring - all four for under $200 (not bad for me).

yay! cute! I really like the green dress...

I'm actually shopping for next fall... new york fashion week research has warped me...

this could work for our cold MI spring though - what do you think? yay or nay? does it look too cheaply made?

hey dc - cuteness!  the first thing that came to mind for jewelry with this skirt was chunky wooden bangle or necklace, or a pretty coral necklace even.  very beachy and fun.

yes - great ideas for the ethnic feel of the skirt - love that skirt - maybe I'll hit delia's next...

really pretty, detroit - I thought it was anthro at first. I can't tell the quality on this screen, but you can elevate the look with more $$ accessories...

DCS, yeah - I am definitely on the lookout for a great wooden necklace this year. I am so into this look as well (not trying to do it with that skirt, but I love this...) - the one on the right:

the awesome DVF skirt up close:

It's just very cool with the thongs and the necklace in the top photo because they dress it down. Ok, that was sort of off the subject. But that whole look is on my wish list. That necklace (which is a bit much for the delias skirt, I think) is so amazing.

Let me know if you see any great wooden acccessories!

One more thing from the latest saks catalog (which I drooled all over) - this coat on the right So impractical, but it's the coolest... it has a peacock feather pattern that you can't really see here & those shoes are awesome too:

detroit - yeah, it could work for that sort of boho look. (definitely not with the crochet skirt... wtf?)

yeah - didn't really get the skirt with that - a little too much crochet action going on there - yes was thinking of it for the boho look for spring and it appears as though it will continue through fall in some of the collections I was looking at

the colors are right for fall too - deep colors - a lot of black on the runways as well

dc - i love that wooden necklace too, but agree that something that big would be too much with the delia's skirt, but something simpler might work...can't recall seeing any cool wooden jewelry but will keep an eye out for you (and me...)

also love that coat from Saks you pointed out - and the model is so adorable!  she's kind of refreshing.  the whole look is very appealing.  i'm sure the coat is some outrageous sum of money.
