bluebirde, he went to law school with a friend of mine. it was just a really good time b/c he was really easy to talk to and we did something that i normally don't get to do that often -- go to a live show. plus he's a really, really nice guy.

it's funny b/c one of my new years resolutions was to stop pining after guys who are aloof, semi anti-social and all together drive me crazy (like my former crush). when i first met him there was another guy at the bar who was i drawn to (i.e. he was aloof) and i was just like f* it i'm going to talk to someone else. and that's how i met the guy i went out with. i'm really excited but don't want to read too much into it, though we are going to go out again on sat or sun. so my fingers are crossed.

Isn't that funny about your ny's resolution? I'm also attracted to men who are "hard to get" if you will. The second someone becomes unavailable, either emotionally or physically, I want them. What sense does that make?

I have a friend who always tells me the way to change your outlook/experiences/current life situation/or whatever you want to call it, is to do different things than you normall do, i.e. going for a different type guy and doing an activity you don't normally do. Looks like it worked for you!

You'll have to let us know how the 2nd date goes - I'm excited for you!
