I'm trying to help a friend get some more "up to date" clothes.  However the problem is she's larger and can't really shop in the same stores I shop in.  Where online should I look??  I've tried Lane Bryant but haven't had much luck.  She's about a XXL in tops.  She's working hard to lose weight but needs to feel better about herself in order to do so.    Thanks!

Has she tried Old Navy?  I'm not sure if that's the kind of stuff she's looking for, but they have quite a large selection of plus sizes now.

what about target? i went to buy a wrap dress for my sister yesterday and they had it in sizes up to XXL (from the merona line). it might be worth checking out considering that she is trying to lose weight and probably doesn't want to spend a bunch of money on clothing that (hopefully!) will be too big soon.

2nd escrime's suggestion.  i've seen this store in a mall & i would never guess it was plus size.  it looks like a forever 21 type store.  good luck!

I third Torrid- I saw someone wearing a cute skirt and I asked her where she bought it.  When she said Torrid, I was kind of embarrassed because I knew that I wouldn't be able to find my size there. Speaking of Torrid- didn't it used to be like Hot Topic?  I just looked at their website and it looks different now.  Though their clothing wouldn't fit me, I like these:

I was looking for these exact shoes earlier- but in a different color and in leather.  For $28 though, not bad.
