Return question....
Permalink Closed

I bought a coat at Banana Republic on Sunday. I wore it tonight when we went to dinner and when I got home I noticed that a button fell off. I have no idea when I lost the button or where it is. Since this is the first time I wore the coat and I still have the receipt will I be able to exchange it? I tried to call the store but I got put on hold and then hung up on so I thought I'd see what you all thought.

Sorry if I sound clueless; I hardly ever return things.

I would go into the store and tell them exactly what happend. They may have a stash of buttons, or will get it fixed for you. Just be as sweet as can be and hopefully the golden rule will apply.

If you still have the tags, take the receipt, tags and coat into the store and they'll probably exchange it for you no questions asked.

My friend works at BR, they are really great about customer service, you can exchange with no problems.

Thanks everyone. I figured that it wouldn't be a problem but I wanted to make sure. I can't believe a button fell off the first time I wore it!
