Joe Bush Sizing

I think I am going to get this skirt but I don't know what size to get.  Does anyone have this or any of the other skirts?

The Belle Gray site says to go up one size but it looks like sizing only starts at 29.  They have 29-34.  I usually wear a 27 or a 28.  Should I get a 30 or 31?  If the waist size is supposed to be the place you want the skirt to sit I probably actually need like a 32, but them I'm afraid it'll be too long (I'm only 5'2 but I suppose I could cut it).  So confused!  Thanks in advance.

I have a lot of j bush and can help.

i have that style skirt. you do need to size up because of the cut - i wear a 25 in jeans normally but in his stuff i am a 30, though i prefer 32 because it sits on my hips - for some reason, he cuts his stuff really high, which I don't love, and I have to have my tailor adjust it to fit how I want. a bigger size helps that. the only thing is that sizing can even still be kind of hit and miss - like i have gone through three pair of the gauchos to find the perfect fit, and i have had to have nearly all of my stuff from him altered from there - mostly as mentioned in cutting down the incredibly high rise he has, which is I guess most likely from vintage Levis being so high waisted.

you can view my skirt on www.stylediary.net and how it looks "on" under new outfits. Joe Bush is carried ALL over the place - Lisaangelboutique.com can order anything you want so you may want to check there and see if they can get you an a-line skirt. nessaleestyle.com is getting some in. They have SO much better customer service than belle gray - i used to refer a lot of business to bellegray for joe bush (because i have so many pieces of his stuff on my site) but i kept hearing people - and experiencing myself - their really snotty, rude sales service so i won't anymore.

Thank you so much!  I remember seeing the skirt on stylediary awhile ago and I thought it was so cute.  I will order it from somewhere else; I hadn't heard that belle gray had poor customer service. Thanks again, you were very helpful.

belle gray should be ok - just don't take any crap from 'em! make them help you get exactly what you need if it means you are on the phone with them for an hour because the sizing really can be tricky and you need to have somebody help.

one thing to note, sometimes stuff from j bush will be stained. it's from the jeans used, not the store - one of my skirts had it, and it's just part of the natural look of it - just in case yours comes with that sort of thing. you'll know because it'll look like an old stain if it comes stained at all - it won't be a fresh mark that say would come out in the wash.
