Try them. I have them in all four colors. They're a little wider in the leg then the velvet ones but I ended up getting them in the same size.

I have them too. I have the same issue with the waist/hips thing and I really like the modern fit. I love the wider legs on these pants too.

rar210, I thought it was you that had them ,but I wasn't sure. What is the fabric like? Since you can wear the velvet ones and these pants, maybe I can too (I am doing a happy dance

). Even though I am on a shopping ban, I may order a couple of pairs. Since I have such a hard time finding pants to fit, I think if these fit me that will justify breaking the ban.

The material is a litte different from the regular pants. I think it's the type that could be worn now and into spring. There really a year-round material. I hope they work for you. Just so you know, a girlfriend of mine got them and sized up one size but I got my regular size. You may want to try both??
