My bf and I went in to Saks this weekend because I wanted some new jeans.  I had about 20 pairs drapped over my arm and my bf's arm and no one came to see if I needed a dressing room started.  And its not like they were busy- they were standing their chatting!!  Finally my bf signaled someone over and he came up and goes "oh can i start you a dressing room?"  I wanted to look at him and be like umm no I just want to try them on out here.  Ughh  What made it even worse is after trying on all those jeans I didnt find any that I like.

Ugh!  I've had this happen at Neiman Marcus in the contemporary adult section (whatever it's called there).  Then someone else will walk by and they will all address her by name and flock to her side.  I guess since I rarely go there (I'm a Nordstrom/Bloomies girl when it comes to dept stores), I'm not important enough to them when I do.

Hehehe - I hate it when that happens!  I've taken to wearing large sunglasses and ignoring them - just watch them come running !

I have found that Saks and Neimans are nose up operations if you walk around with your nose litterally in the air people will help you. I am serious works everytime.

I totally agree.  I was in Neimans on Thursday while on my great purse search.  I made a point to look utterly unapproachable since I was dealing with purses I really couldn't afford, and if I did buy one, I would definitely not be doing it that day.  I would have to think about it and budget it in before doing that.  I definitely wanted to avoid salesperson contact.  So, of course, I had 3 different saleswomen trying to help me.  It's all about the reverse psychology.  Act like you don't need them and they will come flocking to you!
