High End Jeans for Shorter Girls
Permalink Closed

Hi Ladies,

I promised a friend I would help her locate her perfect pair of jeans. She is frustrated because she tried on Sevens and Citizens and claims that both "make her butt look too big" . . . she is 5'3" and approx. 130 lbs.

Any recommendations on brands of jeans besides COH and Sevens?

Thank you so much.

I'm 5'2" and I find that the only jeans I really don't have to hem are Joe's and AG...both are pretty good in the butt department too.

Im 5'1 and usually hemm all my jeans.  If im looking for ones where i dont have to hem them id prob look for brands that make jeans in different inseams (levis, abercrombie, gap, mavi) But if shes looking for higher end jeans Diesel might work too...a bunch of them are onsale at shopbop.com (plus code SCOOP can get you an additional 20% off).  Hudsons are great as well.

Diesel is the short girl's high end jeans god.  It comes in a 30 in. inseam.

Wow, it sounds like I'm about the same size as her (minus 1/2 inch ), and my recs would include Seven and COH. Although she may want to try AG Legends and Angels and see how that goes. She'll have to hem them, but they are in every respect a godsend for curvier girls.

i own sevens, COH, joe's and i just get them all hemmed... the alteration department at the stores i shop at are FANTASTIC and it never looks like they have even been touched.

just have her hem them and don't worry about the length- i never do- if i did, i would never find anything i liked!

5'2" here- I tried on many pairs of high end jeans last fall, and my favorite was Christopher Blue. The length is good (I didn't hem mine, but I would need to if I ever wanted to wear them with flats), and they're very flattering.
