After reading a recommendation in Entertainment Weekly, I watched Slavery in America on PBS last night. It was hosted by Morgan Freeman. It is a very compelling program and provided much more information than I learned in history, and my professor did try to focus a lot specifically on slavery, tobacco trade, and Native Americans. Of course, it makes me ashamed of my heritage, which I have records of in colonial Virginia, but it's also important truths to never forget. Anyway, if you see it in future local listing, I recommend watching it.
