Curvy girls & skirts
Permalink Closed

To all you curvy girls out there: How do you feel about fuller skirts? I have one friend who insists it hides any less flattering parts but I'm of the mind it accentuates. What do y'all think? I'm in love with a lot of the anthropolgie skirts for the spring and summer but I'm unsure how they'll react with well-endowed curves!

Ones like these:

capri skirtmixed stripe skirtkensington gardens tulip skirtpowdered sugar skirt

Any thoughts or anyone encountered the same dilemma?

I think fuller skirts would look good on curvy girls with small waists, it accentuates the hourglass shape.

I think that these skirts look good on people with curvier builds.  I think they're flattering on almost everyone...with the exception being very short women or women with very large lower legs.

I think they are very good at hiding hips, but you need to have a decent waist and they need to be the right length or they look funny. Basically I think they look really good on truely "curvy" girls but not so go on heavier girls.

All right - you women have convinced me - I'm gonna go for it! Worse case scenario: I send 'em back, right?

Not sure. Have to weigh options when I have more time at home but I'm thinking #3 and #7. They're so pretty. And #7 kinda reminds me of something Rizzo from Grease would wear, which I dig. I'll let y'all know!

I think they're worth a try. As long as you have good ankles I think they enhance a feminine figure!

I'm curvy and I wear these skirts all the time. I find that they skim the hips but overall make my waist look smaller. I do not have tiny legs, but my legs are muscular and well-proportioned to my build so I don't have a massive problem with my legs looking like logs. The only note is that I find them to be most flattering at around knee length.

I have 3 (the blue and brown lace one).  I love it and it fits fantastically.  I've seen all of them in person except the first two, and it is the prettiest in person IMO.  It fits the waist, and then there is extra room through the hips and legs so it should be fine.
