Does anybody have any stocks.  Not mutual funds - but stocks.  I know mutual funds are a lot less riskier than high risk stocks.  Does anybody have any advice? - it's always a risk to invest in another company.

I'm not sure really.  I don't own any but I have 2 class projects this semester where we have to invest money in the stock market.  I don't know what amount of risk you want to take but the older companies or blue chip stocks are usually safe but don't yield that much in dividends (GE, GM, IBM).  For my class projects I'm picking companies that I've heard of and that have been around for a while and are doing relatively well.  My bf owns stock and he has it in Anheiser Busch (Bud) and ExxonMobile which both do really well.  Exxon usually splits every few years which is always good.

I own stocks and play with it once in a while.  What kind of advice are you looking for?

i don't like to invest in stocks personally but i represent some publicly traded companies so i'm pretty savvy about stock performance, etc. - i'd be happy to try to help :)
