I'm having a down-in-the-dumps couple of days. You know those times where it seems like everything sucks, even though you know it's not really that bad? What do you do to shake those moods? I need to snap out of it, without going shopping!

A good work out usually does it for me. And focusing on the good things in my life - kind of stepping outside and objectively viewing things... let's see, from what I know about you
1. you have a wonderful SO and you're getting married
2. you are going to go to school to get a degree in interior design
3. you have great taste and help people with putting together outfits expecting nothing in return
4. since you are a dancer, you probably have a fabulous body
5. you're smart and have a great personality
hmmm... I'll let you know if I think of more.

Some things I do - ~Cry ~ Clean (sometimes forcing myself to do it helps me to get out of a funk. It turns into a meditation and I listen to music - fake it till you make it)
~Talk to someone close to me ~Eat really healthy foods ~Watch TV (just to get yourself out of your mind a little bit) ~Stretch ~Fresh air and exercise~Make a list of five things you are currently grateful for in your life - even the smallest things make a difference.
Just a few things I do if I feel crummy - hope you feel better!!
Ugh I've been feeling like this a lot recently. I think I'm just sick of being in wintery Maine at a schoo of 1,700 people. Here's what I usually do: journal about why I hate everything and why all my friends are stupid, take a nice long shower and cry, nap and I wake up feeling better. Also, Diet Cherry Coke. They put crack in it.
poor lmonet, hang in there, we all have those days. ok, two options. first you could just let yourself be sad, just kinda go with it, wallow, eat ice cream, whatever. sometimes it's not good to fight sadness, embracing it and letting it run its course is sometimes a good option. second option, think of all the blessings in your life and think of all the people who love you (like all of us!). we're blessed to know you and i'm sure others are too. hth and feel better!
Awwwwww - thanks for the pep talk girls ! I'm starting to feel better already. I was thinking about your suggestions (especially the ice cream and cherry coke ), and I think it's the overwhelming sense of stagnation I feel in my life that has put me into this funk. I know it's just temporary, so I'm going to do my best to get it moving again (or at least make it feel that way). You girls are the best!
