Please press charges.  You were battered, no question.  These people are not safe for you to be around, and even if you and your BF are firm in the resolve to cut them out of your lives, they still could try to cause trouble for you.  And if that happens, your argument (with the police, in court, wherever this might go in the future - though I certainly hope nothing else happens) will be much stronger if you press charges now.  Get the pics taken and file the report.

I'm so sorry sweetie! I am shocked to hear that people treated you this way-- I have always felt that you were such a nice person and you always have great advice. I hate to know that bad things happen to good people! Hope you feel better soon.
