I don't like going places alone!  I feel safer and less like I'm being watched when I'm with somebody else.

Once I went to Olive Garden alone for lunch and it made me uncomfortable!  The place was packed with lunchers and it seemed like everybody kept staring at me wondering why I was alone!

For shopping, I'll go by myself if it's close by but If I want to do some good shopping which is at least 40 minutes away that requires a buddy!

Well, I ended up not going. Not because you girls weren't convincing (because you werewink) but I had a Stupid Fight with my Stupid Boyfriend and I was just not in the mood.

I go shopping alone a lot (most of the time, usually), and I'll go to a coffee shop armed with a book, but I don't know if I'm friendly/courageous enough to go to something like this (or go out to a restaurant, etc) and actually meet someone like you girls were talking about! I think I'm afraid that everyone will look and wonder "why is that girl all alone?" even though I know that no one is going to pay enough attention to a stranger (me) to notice or care.

I have resorted to making my boys watch TLC with me.  The 5 and 6 year-old actually like What Not to Wear now (much to my husband's dismay)!
