That you can send a Gucci bag to any Gucci boutique and they'll clean it for free and send it back? A friend told me this and swore it was true. I plan to take advantage if it is - my Jackie O has a smudge on the bottom.

hey mia--sorry to hijack.  is the jackie bag still being made, or do you have to buy vintage now? i recently decided that i won't be able to live without one for much longer, but when i popped into neimans to check them out, they didn't have anything in that style.  just wondering.

Hmm...  that is an interesting concept.  I know that they charge a lot of $$ to fix anything, but I never tried cleaning.  Maybe call the store to ask?

It is very possible that it's true - they have some of the best customer service I have encountered.


I bought a bag for my Mom in Italy - it has a bamboo handle, and one the the pieces of hardware that attaches the handle to the bag came loose.  I took it to my local Gucci store and they sent it off, fixed it for free, and I think I got it back in a week - I recall it being prompt. So, I know repairs are fast and free, but I'm not sure about cleaning...


Is there a local store you can call? If not, I have one really close to me and I can call for you - let me know (all the stores have the same policies).

Good idea- I'll definatly have to look into that as well. The handle on my jackie o. slpit in half! There went my trust of gucci, but if they'll fix it for me my faith in them might be restored. :) I really love the new cruise collection, but am so scared to get one if it's going to break!

Bumblebee - Mine is vintage but I swear a saw a version of the Jackie O on the Neiman's website last season?


Thanks for the offer Detroit!!...there is no boutique around here but I will look online for their phone #. I just tried to Google for the info but all I got were results of shops selling fake Gucci.

It's a local call for me, so I went ahead and made it. $40 and they send it out to have it done.

Really? Wow, very cool. I suppose this holds for everywhere, right? I don't even know if there *is* a Gucci boutique in Vancouver. Maybe Toronto or Montreal? Hmmm...much mailing will be involved here. Thanks for calling Detroit...
