I want to get a pair of jeans and cuff them to make them look like capris. What kind should I buy? I didn't know if there would be a particular style that would cuff better. Thanks.

I've tried to find jeans to do this too but can never find anything. Everything I try is too "boot cut". It would work best with a straight leg jean. I just can't find a good straight leg pair.

definitely the straighter the leg, the easier it is

i have an old pair of diesels that i keep cuffed. it works better if they're relatively straight leg, but mine have a flare. the key is to use those big safety pins (diaper pins?). i used them and they've stayed put through numerous washings. also cuff them along the seam, with the pin part facing down, so if they come undone they won't stick you.

I have huge calves and straight leg jeans actually look a bit funky on me when cuffed. I prefer to use Seven bootcuts for the purpose.

Would buying a pair of cuffed capris be easier?

I agree with Amelie -- cuffed capris will probably be easier, b/c the cuff won't be as bulky. I can't ever seem to cuff my jeans without feeling like a pirate b/c of the bulk. Gap carries these every year.

I like the look when I roll them twice.
