Work Shoes?

I need to buckle down and buy some good shoes for work.  What do you think of these Stewart Weitzman ones?  $298 regular price

should i just get them, wait for a sale, or look at other shoes?

I'm not a fan, and wouldn't pay $298 for them. I'd keep searching. What exactly are your needs for the shoes i.e. heel height, toe type, color, budget, etc? I'm sure we can help you find some other options if we knew what exactly you're looking for. smile.gif

They're okay, but they don't wow me by any means...

I think you could find something more attractive, but still work appropriate, for that price.

Trying to keep the story short...

I have been having foot trouble (bunion) so bad that I am down to one pair of summer shoes I can wear without pain and two pairs of winter/fall shoes.

After recognizing that flats have only exacerbated the problem with my feet, I have found that having a solid shoe with a medium heel works best.
The first priority will fulfill the following needs.
 - Dark brown
 - Medium heel
 - Can wear with bare legs
 - Can wear with tights
 - The toe box cannot be pointy
 - Shoe has to have some heft to it, be solid-feeling
 - Work appropriate (don't have to be executive, super-conservative)

I started looking at the SW shoes because I have another pair of them and like how they feel and look.

I'm open to some wedges that are not too curvy.

Just trying to bridge the gap between sexy and dowdy.  I like things that are very clean but a little edgy.

I work as a career counselor at a college.

I'd look for a pair of Cole Haan or Taryn Rose heels on sale - Nordstrom/Nordstrom Rack is usually where I spot them, but I found a pair of Taryn Rose at Marshalls last week too.  Both are made for comfort, and I think a vast majority of CH shoes are nice looking.  TR is a little more hit or miss looks wise, but they're super comfy!

What size are you?  I'll look around a bit biggrin.gif ...

I highly recommend the Cole Haan Nike Air line - they are sturdy and comfy, and stylish IMO. And they aren't pointy. They are $$, but there are a ton on sale at colehaan.com right now.

Have you tried Aerosoles? Sometimes they have cute shoes, and they are really comfy.

I really like these:

But the one with the mary-jane type strap and the plain one, it might be just me but it seems like that toe box is really small. It's not pointy, but it looks like it could be pinchy?

I really like that second pair of the ones you just posted, too.

These are by Biala and look like possibilities, but you'd probably need to try them on to see how they fit you.

I've tried on Gentle Souls before, and they're nice and roomy in the toe box ans super comfy overall:

I really like the pumps you posted, too smile.gif.
