so I noticed that celebrities and people out here in Cali. wore them even though it was hot. I really love the look but I'd be crazy to wear them in this heat. I get hot really quick. Anyways, I really plan on buying and wearing some for when it starts to get chilly.
I really dont care if they are in or out by that time...it just makes more sense to me to wear them then. I do own a few already.
So what are your thoughts on scarves? Just curious....

I think the "summer scarf" trend is ridiculous. I bought a few but I'm saving them for them it gets chilly.

Sorry but I don't get the same positive feeling from the look of it--regardless of the outdoor temperature.

Yeah, I don't dig the summer scarf thing. I don't like most spring scarfs either.

I like scarves in the fall and winter. That's the only time I would wear them. But I wouldn't wear a scarf like a bib as people were doing this summer.

I wear scarves a lot, but usually they're oblong.

In defense of the "summer scarf" thing: in L.A., it can be 80-100 during the day, but still chilly at night, so I might grab a scarf if I'll be out all day into the evening. I may not want to schlep a jacket around all day, and even a thin scarf is sometimes all I need to keep a little warmer. Bonus if you can wrap it around your shoulders, shawl-style.

BUT I'd tie it to my purse versus wearing it in the heat of the day.

I love to wear scarves, but I only wear themin the summer if it's cold, like in San Francisco or if i'm on an airplane.

Good topic.

This look I cannot stand:

Plaid Gauze Square Scarf Plaid Gauze Square Scarf I just don't see the allure.

The look below is how I wear scarves.  I have a similar purple one in a kind of ombre crinkle fabric that I've already worn only because it was a cool day!

Ditto. I love scarves, but where I live it's way too hot to wear them in the summer. We recently went to San Francisco and it was 60 degrees. I was fine (and warm) with my scarf in August.

I TOTALLY agree - that top look is too cowboy...
I also don't like the summer scarves thing.  I like them in fall/winter and love them on a plane for cozying up.

I agree about that "cowboy" look. They look like a bib to me!

ME too - I like the trends - adds a little color to a plain outfit!
