I just joined Facebook to keep in touch with old friends, who wants to be my friend? And how do I invite people to be my friend?

I'll be your friend. I've had my facebook account for a few years but haven't really done much with it (got it to view my sister-in-law's college pics), so I'm not real sure how to request friends, all the ones i have are requests made to me, but I think you can invite your friends if you have an email address. What's ur user name? Or a link to your page and I'll see if I can just invite you aww.gif

To invite someone to be your friend, just do a search for them (or you can see someone you know on another friend's buddy list, etc). Click on the picture of them that is by their name. If that person is not in your network (these are associated with schools, jobs, location, etc., I forget when you defined this but you probably did while signing up), a little window will pop up with very few options and little information, and click "Add as friend." They will get a notification that you want to be their friend, and they will accept/deny it. If you ask someone to be your friend, they will be able to view your profile even if they are outside of your network. If they are already in your network you will be able to view their profile, and under their picture there will be a link that says "Add as friend."

probably the easiest way to connect to other STers is to become a fan of stylethread on facebook. once you are a fan you will be able to see all the other fans and invite them to be your friend...

I've been on there too but have only my husband as my friend, I need to add you guys and update my profile. I joined the ST fan club, so I guess I'll just send out requests.....I'm Cindy.

just a funny thing about facebook- if you go to settings and click on languages, you can select "english (pirate)"... anyway, it's a good laugh!
