STYLETHREAD -- LET'S TALK SHOP!

i just bought these boots from steve madden at hechts for only 50 bucks! (btw, hechts is having a 60% off their boots sale)  they fit a bit snug on the calves for me and my calves are by no means large.  i remembered that some of you girls had a hard time finding boots that fit so i just thought i'd share =) 

as a side note: do you think this color is versatile?  can i wear this with black skirts/dresses without looking funny?  if not, then what color can i wear them with?
