question about pants

I wore a pair yesterday from French Connection that has a wide wasitband and sat right below my bellybuttom (it would probably be low rise on anyone without a short torso though). I think it can look old ladyish if you get one that has a really high waistband or something, but in general, it does make for a nice, clean line in the front.

I have a pair of wool gab RL I got at Nordies a while ago. They are really nice pants, so I hate to get rid of them, but the style isn't that current with the narrow legs and side zip. It probably depends on how nice of pants they are, but just from a style description, I wouldn't get them.

i'm wearing a pair from sisley/benetton. they're low waist and have a really wide leg so i like them. i think the style of the pant matters more than the placement of the zipper. though i do sometimes forget that my zipper's not in the front.
