I have to *carry* Miss Tinker over puddles. God forbid she gets her tummy wet. If it's raining out and we go for a walk she's all excited, and as soon as I open the door she beelines back inside.

Hehe-I totally know what you mean!  Mine is the same way but when she sees the snow she just stands by the door.  I have to jerk her leash a few times to get her to move!
