So, I saw these in person the other night and I loved them! I only had time to try on one pair and they fit really well in the waist, thigh, and rear.  I'll have to have the length shortened, no big surprise.  There was a huge line and I only had about 5 minutes so I plan on going back next week to make some purchases.  They had the brown on display with this yellow button up and this sash ties around the waist - it was too cute.  The sales lady (who knows me very well) said she could not believe how fast these pants were selling.  They had only had them on the floor for a week and were down to about 8 pair left in each color.  (More in the black).  She assured me they'd ordered more!  Just thought I'd share!

i just bought them in brown. i love gap's modern fit pants. they are my #1 work staple. i think they just fit certain people perfectly... they hug my butt and huge hips, but not too much, and the waistband sits smooth. plus, after taking them out of the washing machine, i hang them upside down in the bathroom on a skirt hanger and by the time they're dry they have no wrinkles! it's like magic! for lazy people who hate ironing!

how long do Gap pants run - I need long pants and I really haven't checked out the Gap in years...but I DO need work pants.  I have definitely stretched the company's "jeans on fridays" policy to include Mon-Thurs!

i'm 5'7", average length legs, and i always wear flats with their pants. but they also come in long, so depending on exactly how long you need them, that might work.

Gap pants usually are too big in the hips for me, are these cut differently?

So, I went to the GAP during lunch to try on the pants that looked SO cute in the pic.  Well, I think they sucked.  They were made out of some canvas-like material.  I asked the salesperson and she said they didn't make them in any other material.  Are these the right ones?
