I am looking for a large cocktail ring. I dont care if its silver or gold but I would like a very large stone (possibly a bezel setting). I am not picky about the stone.. I just don't want anything too shiny. I'd prefer an earthy look - mother of pearl, turquiose or other rock-like stone.

I found one I like on net-a-porter but it would be $240 after shipping and tax.

I'd love to spend under $100 but could go a little over if it's great!

there is a georgeous ring in the InStyle makeover magazine.  on page 112.  i'm searching online but can't seem to find it.  i'm in love.  it's topaz & gold plated.  Marcia Moran at Supplements NY for 147$.  says its at whotelsthestore.com but i don't see it. 

seriously, you need this ring.  i need this ring.

It says "Gold plated 18k ring with topaz stone" - because there could be enough variation in the stone to make it seem like a different color depending on the lighting.

no, that's not it.  but i have discovered a few more things to put on my wishlist. 

the one i'm talking about is a brown smooth uneven stone with a sort of bezel setting...  it looks like a shiny rock. 

i'm not very good with the technical terms here :)

It's this one (I just got the mag too... looks much better in the mag picture because the lighting shows the stone).

is that it?  the one in the mag says it's 147.00, and doesn't say anything about "smoky"...  i'm hoping it's just not available yet because the photo in the mag is so much better.

Nope, this is it... I compared them.  I loved the ring in the mag - so much better in that picture.  The listing on the site says it is featured in InStyle.

I keep thinking about this ring and I REALLY want it, but unfortunately now it is sold out (sucks!). Has anyone seen anything similar? I'm so upset I didn't buy this right away.
