Loreal Glycolic Peel - Got It! Trying It Tonight!
Permalink Closed

Just saw this at the store maybe earlier in the week or last week. I got a coupon for it and my local drug store had it on sale. Total cost $17.99 plus tax (I think retail is $25). It's Loreal's at home glycolic peel. I've gotten them at Bliss before and really liked the long-term results (immediately after I looked like a dry hot baked potato!). I'm going to use it tonight and I'll let you know how it is! :)

I haven't seen any reviews on makeupalley yet... so I hope it works out! Otherwise I have my receipt!

so I think I'm going to give this a little more time.

I tried it the other night. The package itself comes with 8 peels, 1 bottle of neutralizer, 1 tube of moisturizer, and cotton pads. You basically soak one pad in peel, wait 5 minutes, then neutralize the skin, and finally moisturize. I've tried other two system peels that are similar to this and have had glycolic treatments done in spas. This was really gentle and there was barely any sting; however, I could tell that my face was slightly irritated (not too much... just what is expected from the peel I suppose) and slightly red when I went to neutralize. The overall feeling of my face was smooth and I felt like I could make out a very very very very slight but noticeable difference in the overall texture of my skin. The product recommends to use this system ever other month. I think it's a little pricey considering you only get a month's worth of applications in one box. I bet you could stretch it out by using on half of a peel application at once. I'm glad I got it on sale. I don't know if I would be as happy if I paid the full $25. I will repost after a month and see if there has been any difference or if my opinion has changed.

I think next time I might buy the Neutrogena face peel or the Neutrogena version of Dermanew.

I guess it would be hard to tell after only one app.  I am going to try the neutrogena one.  I feel like my skin looks so dull in the winter.  I am kinda worried about irritation but neutrogena is usually very gentle so hopefully it won't be much of a problem.  I'll let everyone know how it goes!

And really not related to this at all but something I feel like adding....

I showered in the locker room at my gym this morning (I usually go home but I was short on time) and the lighting in there was so bright and harsh!  It was awful.  I could see like every large and/or clogged pore on my face and it was so demoralizing.  Why must they do this!?

they do this so you will hate yourself and work out until you die!
