this is what I get for "window shopping" online.  i have seen a bag I MUST have for $40, but I just won't be able to swing it for at least two weeks.  I just KNOW it will be sold out by then.  cry
Why did I look?????

come on come on.
it usually just last for about 2 days. You have to suffer through this and then you'll be free of the "bag's spell" ...

Aww, my friends and I are having a garage sale this weekend and my friend is selling her books on amazon to raise "fun" cash cuz payday isn't until next week. Maybe you can do that for the "bag fund"?

This is why you should never, ever window shop for anything even remotely affordable. Neiman's, Saks, (or other online equivalents), I'm sooo there when I'm broke, because there's absolutely no chance I can afford the things I like there. And it's so far out of my price range (which, when I'm broke is pretty close to zero) that I can only laugh at the possibility of buying it.

But Target when I'm broke? Probably the worst feeling ever. It's one thing to not be able to buy that $500 purse but it's quite another to not be able to afford a $10 t-shirt at Target. I just feel sorry for myself and want to buy lots of things - very counter-productive to the task at hand - staying on budget.

I agree with ico though, this too shall pass. Note to self: never window shop at anything other than luxury or pricey shops. It's just too pathetic afterwards. I speak from experience.

Have you ever cleaned out your closet and tried a consignment store?  I did that the first time a few days ago and I got over $50 for a shopping bag a half worth of teen brand clothes that I don't wear anymore!  And they consigned 3 bags and a pair of jeans so I might have more coming. smile

I'm going to look at another consignment shop too.  This one I went to was suppose to be into labels but it was pretty crappy.  The girl wanted nothing to do with Calvin Klein, Banana, or Tommy Hilfiger and two cute pairs of shoes I've never worn (because they didn't fit and ordered online) but had crappy used shoes and worn out Wal-Mart tees!  Makes me wonder what other cute stuff they could of had put passed on!

That is such a good idea.  I really should do this more often as I won't get depressed or buy things I only like but not love.  Boy have I missed you guys.

Ok -
First of all, you guys were right - the bag is loosening its grip ... though it's still not out of my mind.
Second of all, Blubirde - you are SO SO RIGHT - I should go to Neiman's when I have no money - and there's one like 5 min from my house. Target is just torture when it's barely out of your reach.
Third of all - guys. I've sold everything of value on ebay. I'm decluttering and de-pooring - or something.
But for real, thanks for the responses guys - all wise and true!
