I know I posted about this on the FashionHag forum, but I hate this company so much that I couldn't pass up the chance to roast them.

I ordered a pair of AG Legend jeans from the Designs by Stephene site.  They sent me AG Angels instead and they weren't even the right size.  I called up their customer service and ask to make an exchange.  They said I had to pay shipping.  I told them I didn't think I should have to pay to ship them back because they made a mistake.  Keep in mind that their company has free shipping when you buy an item and they will send you a label for free shipping when you return an item, but apparently if you are exchanging an item you are SOL.  So, I tell the customer service rep, "well, really, if I just return the jeans, you would have to send me a free shipping label.  So, basically, I can just return and reorder the jeans and not pay any shipping."  The woman on the phone was just being really nasty and condescending (I have seriously never spoken to such a rude and uncaring rep) and finally I told her I was just going to return the jeans.  So, then she sent me a free shipping label and I just reordered the jeans.  I wrote an e-mail to them complaining after I had safely gotten my free label and returned the jeans (so they couldn't thwart my plot to return and reorder instead of exchange).  Nobody responded.

Fast forward a few days.  I received a package from Designs by Stephene.  It was the wrong pair of jeans again.  They are a pair of Sevens and the invoice inside even has someone else's name and address on it.  They were shipped to me by mistake.  I called up Designs by Stephene and it turns out that they also sent my order to the person whose order I received.  They told me they will send me a free shipping label to send back my jeans.  I asked if they can just send me a pair of jeans from their stock because frankly, I had waited long enough for my jeans.  They said, "no, you have to wait until the girl who got your jeans sends them back to us.  We don't have anymore of that style in your size."  Of course, I then go to their website and it says they do have my size, but at that point, I had just relented to the evil trolls over at Designs by Stephene and decided to just wait.  I wrote them another negative e-mail.  Nobody responds.  I call them and ask them if they got my e-mail and they said, "yeah, we got it."  Nothing else.  They never offered me any kind of discount for all the trouble I went through returning jeans left and right or even apologized for their nasty attitudes and questionable exchange policies.

I would never buy from this company again.  Never, ever.  They were so awful.  Writing this pissed me off all over again.  I kind of want to send them this and tell them it reached hundreds of their potential customers.

I remember you posting on FH about that whole bad incident. I am still amazed you were treated so badly, if that is their standard of customer service it's a wonder they are still in buisness.

OMG I had no clue about this.  How the heck did I miss it?  I was wondering about their cs the other day when I was browsing online.  Thank you for reposting this even if you got all pissed at them again.

I'm with you on how terrible they are. I ordered two pairs of James Jeans from the at the beginning of Jan. I found one of the washes for half the price on Coco and Delilah (awesome cs, btw), so I emailed them to cancel the one pair. I received no response from them. Several days later the website still listed both pairs in my order, and there was no sign that after a week the order was even being processed. So I decided that I really didn't need anymore jeans, and since I wasn't especially impressed with them I went ahead and called and cancelled the whole order. The girl on the phone just said okay and I thought that was the end of it. But today (almost a month later) I get an email saying that my order has shipped. I checked the web site and it says that my order was cancelled. So I'm getting ready to call and find out exactly what's going on. But its ridiculous that these stores offer online services, but can't seem to get it together!
