I would wear it without the belt or boots, and would not play up the cowgirl aspect, but probably with wedge sandals and either a sweet top or simple halter/tank top.  Thoughts?

At first look, I thought it was made of teal cotton and wondered why everyone else was so against it .  THEN, I looked more closely and realized it was denim .  I am going to have to go with the general consensus and say 'NO'.

yeah i think becaues it's denim i'm going to have to say no... it's just too wild-wild-west without the belt and the boots. maybe something in that style but in cotton or linen?

I guess I'm the lone dissenter here, but I think the outfit you described sounds cute

I saw that skirt in the Urban Outfitters catalog. The model was wearing it with the jersey side-tie cami and cute sandals. It looked really cute!

If it was anything other than denim, I'd say go for it but as is, I have to go with no.

I'm going to be the few in the minority. I think you're outfit sounds cute and sweet. As long you don't go cowgirl, you should be okay.

ditch the belt (that buckle...no, not with that skirt) and it's a really cute outfit, imo.

I'm not a fan. There's just something off about its shape. It looks like it's not a very flattering item.

I like it.  I have a similar one (there's a side sip and no fly) that I bought at the Gap last summer and i think it looks cute with a tank and sandals and it's more flattering than it looks.

Yeah, it was the picture in the UO catalog that got me thinking about it.  I think it is super cute in a sweet boho kind of a way, the way they have it pictured.  Here is a link, it's on page 4-5:

I may just get it and try it out.

I'd definitely pass on this one, the tiers look like they'd be unflattering and the length seems off too
