I want to know how this movie ends. I watched about half of it and then walked out (yes, my friend and I are chickens) but I need to know how it ends. Anybody...Please.
The guy that was receibing messages was dead. The main character had his place all set up and was recieving messages. The evil dead ones were screaming. He was completely obsessed with the dead. He had gone to the psychic and she warned him to stop. Hmmmm. I guess not a whole lot happened, I just couldn't deal with all the dead screaming things. Please tell me what happened.
Well, the rest of the movie is spent with Michael Keaton's character receiving messages from the dead and him figuring out that they're not actually dead when he's receiving them. Basically his dead wife is trying to help other victims who are going to die, so he sees flashes of where they are and what is going to possibly cause their death. This is all so he can go and help them before they die. There's some strange connection with the dead people having all gone to see the older guy (the one who originally was seeing the dead).
He sees one woman, but is too late to help her. Then he sees Sarah's (the woman that was also seeing the old guy in the beginning) image on the TV, which totally freaks her out. She does survive though, so he was able to help her.
Then he sees an image of another woman in a bad situation on his TV and goes to where he thinks she is to try and save her (she's been labeled as a missing person). When he gets there, it's the building that he was in earlier on in the movie, the one where the elevator stopped and acted all weird.
He finally finds her, but when he gets to her, there's this crazy man who keeps saying that "they" want her and "they" were happy when he brought Keaton's wife to "them". "They" are 3 ghostly shadows that have appeared throughout the movie (but I'm still not quite sure who they are supposed to be representing).
During his search of the building, Keaton had called the cops, trying to explain that he had found the missing woman, but his cell was kind of fuzzy and cut out. Eventually, the cops do show up at the building where this missing woman is and we find out that Michael Keaton's character is dead. I know that 3 ghostly shadow things swooped at him and knocked him through a hole in the floor (which went down a floor or two), so the fall actually killed him.
Like I said, I'm not quite sure what the 3 ghostly beings were supposed to be or why they were there. Oh, the crazy man in the building is the man that said "Is everything alright?" to Keaton and the other guy in the elevator when it was acting all funky, waaayyy in the beginning of the movie.
The very last scene of the movie is at Keaton's funeral. When his son and ex-wife and her new husband are in their car getting ready to leave the funeral, the radio goes fuzzy and you can hear Keaton's voice coming through saying "I'm sorry Mikey" . I think that was the son's name...
Whew...That's pretty much the movie. Any other questions, feel free to ask! I can sometimes suck at describing plots
Hmmm. I hate when movies don't have good explanations for major parts of their films (the three ghostly things). Sounds like they tried to do an "I see dead people" thing (I can't remember the film's name) but instead of helping dead people he is helping live people. Thanks a bunch, now I don't feel like I missed out on anything since I know how it ends. Funny because you said you sucked at describing plots, but it all made perfect sense to me. Someone might be totally confused but I think I got it. Thanks!
