It Slices, It Dices: Bibliochaise - Who Needs a Bookshelf?

nobody%26co-bibliochaise.jpg

For anyone who didn't get enough reading chair/book shelf mashup from last week's Bookinist, here's a slightly more overt combo. Bibiochaise and Bibiopouf come from Italian designers nobody & co eschew the reading light, notebook storage and pencil sharpener for straight-up shelves, storing "5 metres of books". We aren't sure how they measure books, but it's a cool, artful way to store your books, show off your collection, and always have them within arms reach. After the jump: the geometric, oddly naked, empty Bibliochaise.

I want one. Did you see this guy's homemade version?

I had an idea for a contemporary coffee table - just simple stacks of books, very level, heightwise, with a thick glass table top. Gives new meaning to "coffee table book!"

That would look great in a child's room. I would be able to save a couple shelves of storage room with that. I love the colors too.
