Whatever happened to FUN classes??
Permalink Closed

I am so scared of this upcoming semester at school. Accounting, calculus, business english??? WTF? What happened to fun classes?? I want cool classes like learning about german sheparnds (i have one), and learning about the latest styles and fashion trends, and how to properly apply makeup so i can get that damn smokey eye look without looking like i have a black eye! And an auto class so i can learn to change my own tire and fix my car. And how to cook, and how to make money right out of college. Basically i want classes that teach you things you actually have to know in everyday life! Something that is never offered! Ha. I want stylethread as a class! That would be so great. I learn so much from this website!

Unfortunately, the higher you move up in your higher education the more boring the class requirements tend to be, unless you are in a field you are so passionate about that nothing could be boring.

If you want 'fun' classes, you should look into continuing education programs. These are usually offered through colleges, churches, and organizations like the YMCA. I took a culinary arts class and learned so much and had lots of fun. I was only doing it for fun, like the other people in the class, but I learned it a lot and because it was a continuing education class through a college I got my "Culinary Arts Certificate" whatever that means. These type of programs can be on anything... like art, massage therapy, languages, cooking, scrapbooking and other crafty things, dancing, wine tasting, car repair, sewing... I could go on and on.

How about asking around for fun classes or ones that interest you but don't necessarily fit into your degree. If you get ahead of your program or have an elective to fill then you can take one of them.
