well, first of all, I wouldn't match my bag and jewelry to shoes - same color family, yes, but not bronze with bronze or metallic with metallic. You can wear gold jewelry easily with bronze... I do have bronze jewelry (Michael Michaud), but it has a bit of a verdi gris (sp?) finish like this:

I would also stay away from a bronze bag or metallic bag... chocolate brown, blues, reds, purples, deep greens would work with them too - just make sure it's a saturated color - no pastels...
