i kind of like this, but the whole collection is total salvation army dreck. if i put together similar outfits, will people pay me gobs of money?

"hack" just means someone...incompetent, mediocre, not at the top of his field, possibly overpraised or thinking too much of him/herself etc. It's often used in reference to politics or journalism/writing.

i am perplexed by the marc phenomemon, because i usually have the same reaction as you girls to his runway shows (ick!) but then by the time the stuff makes it to the stores, i am over the moon about it.

I like this, but my big 'ol thighs would never look good in those shorts. A different pair of shorts or a little skirt would make this look wearable.

bumblebee, i think they definitely edit the collection for stores.this season in particular the stuff i've seen in stores (granted it is just coming out) more closely resembles the stuff from his namesake line. and in the past i've definitely seen specific runway looks in stores. with this collection however, 75% of it was just so icky i don't even know how a store could sell it.
