i'm always amazed by kl's ability to do new things with tweed. one would think that he would get bored after awhile, but there are just so many awesome looks in the collection.

Honey, you are not kidding. Chanel is honestly about the only line I could gush over 100%. It is amazing that KL can keep doing something that on the one hand always has that recognizable 'Chanel' look but on the other hand changes and moves with the season/year. KL is a sunglasses wearing freak, but his clothes make me drool on myself.

I also want to predict this dress turning up on some A-lister at some point this year, possibly Kidman:

*swoon*

Whaaa!!! I love all of those clothes. Why can't I be rich? Why can't I break down and play powerball when its only $10 mil? Why do I tell myself not to play unless its $200 mil? Its so unfair!

So forgive me for being completely stupid here but how much would something like this cost anyway? How many lotteries must I win?

This collection is so elegant and beautiful and SO out of my price range!

~Sigh~ At least tweed is still around, of course MY tweeds do not even vaguely resemble this.

I need to find a rich man to marry so I can be a lady ho lunches too *sighs*

So beautiful, all of it. KL and Chanel can do virtually no wrong. Heck...maybe I'll even try to find out how much those legwarmers cost, because they look so cool even though they look horrendous most of the time.

I could be wrong, but my understanding is that the runway is more of just a show and a lot of stuff will never make it into stores.  It all depends on what buyers buy.  So basically what you see in stores is what you can get.

this is a total guess but i think chanel jackets run b/t $3K-$5K but that's pure speculation. runway clothes are available in stores. most of the high end dept. stores in major cities carry selections from chanel, gucci, etc.

in reference to what maddie said, yes and no. the clothes in the pictures are from the rtw (ready to wear) collections so they are designed specifically to be sold in stores (hence the terminology). buyers from select stores (barney's, bloomies, neiman's, etc.) select which items from the collections they are going to sell in their store. also since a lot of designers have stand alone stores, i  would think that most of the stuff in the rtw collections gets produced to a certain extent.

Hmm so that means I just have to win 1 lottery drawing. Not too hard....
