x-files reruns - questions
Permalink Closed

I never watched the X-files back in the 90's when it was on, but I have gotten very interested in the reruns on Sci-Fi and TNT.  Can someone answer some questions about it for me? Mulder wasn't on it towards the end.  Did he get killed?  Were he and Scully romantically involved?  Who is the father of Scully's child?

I love the X Files (especially David Duchovny!). I didn't watch it when it was on either, but watched all the seasons on DVD and loved it. Warning: I'm about to sound like a huge nerd-o!

Mulder was gone during seasons eight and nine. He didn't die, but he chose to leave the program, and subsequently got abducted. He wasn't gone from the show completely, he was in episodes here and there, but I think he played a bigger part in the writing and directing of the show during this time.

Mulder and Scully were never really romantically involved, although they did eventually sleep together (late in season seven, I think). There was always a lot of sexual tension between them though.

Scully got abducted and the aliens impregnated her. I don't remember for sure, but I believe the baby was actually an alien-human hybrid.

You can find episode recaps at tv.com. Watch the whole series from the beginning if you can!

I am definitely going to have to get the DVD's of the show.  When it was on in the 90's, I just had no interest in it, but for some reason I am becoming addicted to the reruns.   Sounds like a good birthday present.

I was hugely addicted to X-Files when it was on.   There's a new movie coming out this summer.  I'm so excited!

Has anyone seen the preview for the movie? I'll look for a link and post it -- DD and GA look so OLD. Makes me sad. C Carter said that this movie is a stand-alone (doesn't have to do directly with plots introduced in the TV show.) I hope Scully and Mulder finally get it on.
