last minute wedding in a secret spot in LA in january...


lots of issues:


1.  i don't know what time the wedding is


2.  i don't know where it is


3.  i have never been to LA


4.  it's in about 3 weeks


5.  i'm kinda broke right now !!


please...  i'm begging for ideas and help.

no, i'm not sure what time of the day it is...  that's what stinks.  i know black is super for a night wedding, but what if it's a afternooner??  this surprise stuff stinks for the quests..


i just want to be super cute and new because i'll be in LA...  i'm a wierdo.

i think black should be ok. are most of the attendees in the dark about the time and location? do you have any idea whether it is going to be really formal or more casual?

do you have any dressy tops? that way you could just get a fancy skirt.

I think black would be fine for a daytime wedding, as long as the the style/fabric of the dress isn't too 'evening'.  I would do closed to pumps or not-to-strappy sandals and a cardigan - then if it is fancier than you expected you can always take the cardi off.  A deep purple or green would be nice too if you are uncomfortable doing black.

that's what i was thinking too, doveanunu.  if so, black will be fine even if it is a daytime wedding.  if it's a stylish la group, you are fine wearing black anywhere at any time of the day or night--it's the safest option (imho).

not a celeb wedding.  but one of my friends is going to be on a TV show wedding thing..  i don't think the wedding party even knows where it will be. 


 so i may be on TV and then i will be discovered and people will be dying to have me guest star on their shows and movies.  it will be great. 


maybe i will see a celeb..  i'm starstruck.

Is it one of those wedding shows on TLC if so most of the guests on those shows never look too together and if it is the show where they do a wedding on a budget of $5k then it is usually in the daytime. I am sort of thinking navy would be a fun color to play up then to dress it up pair with silver accessories for night or for the day pair with a color like pink or yellow.
