Questions/Opinions on C&C and Foley and Corinna
Permalink Closed

I want to make a goclothing.com order before the 30% off code expires.  I ordered a C & C t-shirt a month ago and I love it so much and it fits perfectly.  It is the XS, but it isnt tight on me at all, and I usually wear a small.  My question is if anyone has their t-shirt dress.  Do you wear it a lot and does it run like their other t-shirts?  They only have an XS left in this one...

I know it is ridiculously overpriced, but if I wear it a lot, then I'm okay with it.  I have a lot of cute jewelry that I want to dress this up with.  Also, any experiences with Foley and Corinna?  Is that a huge ripoff too?  I like this top..

..but it is $110, which seems high.  It reminds me of the Kirsten Dunst Chloe top though and I like silk.  I just am worried that it would be see-through, that I would order the wrong size (how do these run?), and that it is too expensive.  Thoughts?

(this is the orange color and for some reason I think it looks better on the model...but i still like the white one)

i have 3 c&c tee dresses and i love them. everytime i wear one someone comments on how skinny i'm getting. in my experience, they don't stretch out as much as the regular tees do. i don't know anything about foley & corinna, sorry, but it's a cute top!

I LOVE Foley & Corinna. Seriously - my addiction everytime I go to NYC. $110 sounds cheap to me for their stuff. I say go for it if you really want it otherwise it will haunt you every day that you missed it. F&C stuff does that to me all the time. I'm still kicking myself over this fabulous blue silk.... ah, nevermind. :)

I find it runs pretty true to size. I'd go with a S if that's your regular size.

HTH!

yes they are. i have the bell sleeve shirts. those stretch out a bit too much for my personal taste and get rather baggy by the end of the day. of the two dresses i have only one does the same thing, but i should also add that i like my clothes on the big side (not baggy just not too fitted).

I echo blubirdie's sentiments...I LOVE Foley & Corinna too! I don't think the camisole is overly trendy, so if you know you'll wear it a lot, $110 is a good price to pay for them. I actually have that top in plum and it's super-gorgeous in person!

IMO Foley & Corinna is either TTS or a bit large. I wear an S in F&C and either S or M in most companies.

Lilykind- what do you wear under your top?  I am worried that it would be see-through.  Is the fabric thick enough that even a light color would be opaque?  Ahh now I want this shirt more than before, you enablers!!  I think I am definitely going to get both the t-shirt dress and top..

I don't know if this applies to the white one, but the plum one I have is opaque enough colorwise so that I can go braless and wear pasties (which since my girls are still perky, I can thankfully do). I also think a NuBra would work well under that cami. I tried to wear strapless bras under mine and it just looked really funny.

I'd get the cami (gorgeous) and then get Old Navy's version of the T-shirt dress. I have both C&C and Old Navy (regular tees, not the dress) and they seem to feel and fit the same, IMHO.

I think F&C runs large.  I have that F&C cami in navy.  It's really beautiful and the fabric is substantial so I don't think the one you chose would be see-through.  Anyway, I have 3 foley tops and every single one of them ran large IMO.  HTH!

Vanessa- do you think i should size down to an XS?  I usually wear a small or a 4 at places like banana or anthropologie.  I was thinking I would order the small..also, what do you wear under it?  I *could* go braless, but I don't know if that would make me uncomfortable.

Lynnie, I wear a 4 at Banana, but because of my 36Cs went to a small. If you're any smaller than that, the XS should fit.

Well, after a day of deliberation, I decided to order both the t-shirt dress and the Foley and Corinna top.  And as I was adding them to my bag, I realized...they JUST marked down the C & C dress to $51!  If I had ordered it mere hours earlier it still would have been $74.  So with the 30% code, the total, including shipping, was about $126.  I got the small in the Foley top- there was no XS option left. So hopefully they will both work out/I won't get any emails later telling me that they're out of stock.

Lynnie sorry I missed your question.  I guess it's too late now but I was going to say I think if you're a 4 in Banana you should be fine with a small in Foley.  But it really depends on your chest.  The good thing too is if it's a little big you can take the straps in a little to adjust.

Let us know when you get it and how it fit!
