well, after 10 years my diamond fell out of my engagement ring. luckily it fell out while my hand was in my pocket and i didn't lose my diamond. i adore my setting but after having it fixed several times over the years (loose stone) and having almost lost my precious gem, i'm over it and looking for a new, more secure setting.

my current setting is very similar to this Whitney Boin ring. simple, classic and modern. totally me. i love this one actually but don't know if it's any more secure than mine was. (my jeweler vs. whitney boin) does anyone have this setting or know someone who does?



now, i still want something simple and classic and i'm thinking about the tiffany setting... but it's a little more traditional.



i went to a few jewelry stores downtown today and was somewhat disappointed with their selections. everything was just to fussy for me. my stone is round (like the ones in these pictures), 1.5c and very clear so i want it a setting to show it off. does anyone have any suggestions or favorite websites to browse for ideas?
