I saw a special on tv last night on the Tsunami. They said that they have found not one animal corpse amongst all the human corpses. They must have a sixth sense and fled to higher ground.
I read that in the paper too yesterday! Something about they were flying over a national park in asia and all the animals were grazing and the area had been flooded over by the waves.
I just heard that too from a co-worker. That is too wierd, but very cool. I wonder what kind of scientific research has been done on this in the past...
I heard that on the news last night, it's really kind of spooky.
I also heard that there are 2 dolphins, a mother and her calf, that got stranded in a lake. I think they are in Sri Lanka and fishermen and others are trying to rescue them and get them back out to see. Evidently dolphins do not breathe correctly if they are not in salt water and the mother is not doing well, I think she has something wrong with her back.
It went on to say that so many people were concentrating on this rescue effort because of the suddeness of the tsunami and the hopelessness they feel there. It's all so sad.
That "no dead animals" story came from a single place - the wildlife park. Apparently there are animal corpses everywhere (livestock etc.) - for some reason the animals in that park knew to get the hell away, though.
