My mom will be attending a wedding on the 24th of this month. The wedding ceremony will be held at a hotel outside a lake. The reception will be held inside the hotel. We live in San Antonio, Texas so the summer weather is already in full attack. My mom is need of buying a full-length dress, she feels more comfortable with this length.

We shopped everywhere and could only find mid-knee length summer dresses. Can anybody post some suggestions. The wedding will be a "sunday best" attire wedding.

Did you already look in Macys? We found several options there last month, all floor length and all in spring/summer colours.

Nordstrom has a lot... I'd suggest searching the site for long dress, otherwise you'll have to go through a lot of other stuff.

There is this one from Newport News...  Can't vouch for quality, but it comes in a medium pinkish/purple color and purple.

Mesh corsage dress

The weird flower thingie is attached with a pin, so it is easily removed.  $69

What Ann Taylor and Jcrew?  Or depending on how dressy, maybe a bridal shop?  If it were me, I would also check upscale resale shops if you have any nearby because I hate spending tons of money on something I will only wear once, but  I realize some  people do have qualms about going the resale route.

Thanks ladies for your tips and suggestions. We have yet to find a dress. The wedding won't be formal. We are looking for a dress under $100, that you can wear to dinner or to church.

Are there any other websites?

Nordstrom and (I believe) Dillards carry a line of dresses called Maggy London that are great for women in the mid-40s to 60s, IMO. They are quite flattering and comfortable, but also good quality and reasonably priced. I recommend!
