I'm considering purchasing a burberry trench. I would like to be able
to wear it for a long time to come since they are not cheap. Am I
crazy to get tan? Will it get dirty quick? Should I be safe and get
black? I have a lot of black coats but no trenches at all. What do you
think...

I have a Burberry Trench in Tan and keeping it clean hasn't been a problem at all. I wore it quite a bit this winter and the first of spring and haven't had to have it cleaned yet. It looks great, and you're right, it's a classic!

I voted for the black, but that is because I just like the look of it better.

I remember liking this one when I saw it in a recent neiman's catalogue.  The color is called "stone" and it has gold buttons and gold trim.  It looks like they might be sold out if it though...
