I have wanted a pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes forever.  I have decided that when I buy a pair I am going to get some that are classics and that I can wear with alot of clothing.  Last spring, I wore a pair of black flats quite alot with some of my outfits to work but kitten heels would have probably been cuter.  I could also wear these in the winter.  What do you think of these shoes as my investment shoes?  I got alot of  Christmas $$, but I would still take a coupon code if anybody has one.

I don't see how you could go wrong with those.  Not sure who has that exact style but here are a couple of places you can try with their codes:

bergdorfgoodman.com, free s/h on $200+, GIFTS04
NM, free s/h on $150 with AmEx card, AMEXOFFER, exp?
nordstrom, free s/h, NHOLIDAY1, exp?
Not sure when these expire sorry.

I forgot to ask in my original post.  Do Manolos run true to size.  I normally wear an 8.5 in other shoes.

No experience with Manolos here (yet), but b/c they're slingbacks you may need to size down 1/2 size, depending on if they run small/large/true to size.

I have those and I find them to be extremely versatile.  I think they are a great investment.

Like Leah suggested, you might consider going down a 1/2 size since they are slings.  When I got mine, the back slipped so much it was unbearable to wear them.  I would literally have to stop walking once every block to adjust them.  My cobbler was able to fix them tho.

if it were me, the sling would make me hesitate.  slingbacks can be incredibly irritating  -- either slipping off or digging into your heel.  manolo slingbacks could be an exception b/c they are so well designed, but i would try them on first if i were you to make sure they are comfy.  (also i would worry about the front area rubbing as a lot of d'orsays do.)

other than that, i think they are a great choice for a classic shoe that you can wear a lot.

those are awesome. Like e_doli said, slingbacks can be annoying, but they really are gorgeous, and for the price, they shouldn't come off your foot! (if they do, return them!)

Saks has a code - 10% off NEWYEAR10 (should expire 1/25)

Also, since they're so expensive, consider ordering from a store that isn't in your state. That might save you more on tax than a code would.
