7 A-Pockets
Permalink Closed

I bought (yet another) holiday present for myself yesterday - a pair of stretch 7 A-pockets. I wasn't even thinking about jeans when I walked into a boutique downtown but I was suckered into it by my weakness for designer jeans and an extremely friendly sales associate. Anyway, I love the way the jeans look, but they're really tight. I can just button and zip them up (they're a size 28) and according to the sales girl, that's how they should fit initially, since they stretch out. I wore them for half the day yesterday and they did stretch out significantly but they're still decently tight - do any of you girls who own A-pockets know if they'll continue to stretch?

I own a couple of pairs of a-pockets.  In my experience the stretch ones do stretch, but not around the waist.  They will give in the hips/butt/knees after you wear them.
I'm actually starting to become cynical about the whole jean stretching thing.  I've found the jeans that fit me well when I first try them on are the ones I end up wearing the most.  They are more comfortable and none have turned huge on me.
The a-pockets run notoriously small.  Almost everyone I know had to size up.  Can you still exchange them?

I could return/exchange them, but the store didn't have the wash I liked in a size 29. Plus, the 29 I did try on was too baggy in the knees/thighs. Sigh. I LOVE the way the A pockets make my butt look but they are a bit tight in the waist and tend to slide down my backside. Hm...

I TOTALLY agree. I had a few pairs of 7s that were supposed to stretch "just enough" and they never did. I also think it depends on how you like to wear your jeans. Some people like them really tight; others (like me) prefer them to be a little bit looser.
