Has anyone received their tax rebate yet?

Just curious seeing as how they said that all of the direct deposits would be done this week and I still haven't received mine.  My SSN ends in 67 so I figured I would have gotten it by now.

Do the last two digits in your SSN come before or after mine?

Don't have mine yet. I e-filed taxes, but this was the first year I filed jointly with my husband. How do they do the deposit in that case? I had our refund split in half and direct deposited to separate accounts, but I don't know what they'll do with the rebate.  Also, my SSN ends in 45.

Where did you hear that they would all be done this week?  I heard they would be done earlier than originally expected, but this is the latest schedule I've seen:

http://www.irs.gov/irs/article/0,,id=180250,00.html

Economic stimulus payments will be issued according to the last two-digits of the main filer's Social Security number. For joint filers, the payments will go out based on the person listed first on the return. Payments will be made by either direct deposit or paper check, consistent with how people filed their 2007 tax return.

People who use direct deposit also will be among the first to receive the payments starting April 28. Direct deposits will be made daily and completed by the date listed below:

DIRECT DEPOSIT

Last two SSN digits: Payments will be transmitted no later than:
 00 through 20 May 2
 21 through 75 May 9
 76 through 99 May 16

So, while checks are coming earlier than expected, they still have until May 9th to get yours deposited (mine too).

If the news told you everyone would have them by this week, they're wrong.  I pulled the above schedule directly from the IRS' website. smile

I thought the payment schedule no longer applied. At least I hope so because I'm in the latest time slot!

They will schedule your payment by the main/first filers listed social security numbers last two numbers.  Also my undrstanding is if you had the refund split and depositied into more than on account you will have to wait for a paper check.
Also if you used say Turbo Tax, or H&R Block, they use a 3rd party banking system to deposit your refund.  In this case you will also be sent a paper check. Whilethe schedule has been pushed up, the IRS maintains that the dates on the sedule are te dates by which MOST payments will be made.  Some may be delayed for reasons determined by the IRS.
Don't count you money before it hits the bank...

crap! i e-filed via turbotax :( i don't wanna wait for a paper check!

ETA i just googled this and this is only true if you had your fees deducted from your refund (which i did not). so i think if you paid the tt fee outright via credit card and still did direct deposit, you should get your rebate also direct deposited.

we e-filed using turbotax and we got our rebate through direct deposit on tues. our last two digits are 08.
they will be depositing all week, so if you haven't gotten it yet and your digits are 20 or less, you'll probably be getting it soon.

I have nothing to add to this discussion except that Farrah and I have the exact last two digits in our SSN.

You girls may want to check out this calculator to figure out what you're getting: http://www.irs.gov/app/espc/

My amount has changed drastically.  A couple of weeks ago, when I used this calculator, I was told I was getting $600.  I just did it today and it says $300, which I can't understand and I'm also super pissed off!

For the girls that got their refund can you tell me how much you got and your salary range?  I know people don't like to disclose their actually salary range, but I just want to try to compare to see why I'm only getting $300 now.

I'm suppose to get mine next Friday.  I did the calculator and it said only $300!  I would be super pissed as well!  When the IRS sent me the thingy in the mail I was under the impression I was getting $600 since I paid well over $600 in taxes.

If it's only $300, I won't be spending a dime!
