Luggage!
Permalink Closed

I have finally come to terms with the fact that it's time for me to replace my luggage. And I looooove buying suitcases, so I'm very excited.

I am contemplating one of the lightweight hardcase styles, possibly this one in pink (sorry, I'm too lazy to remember how to post pics). I'm seeing the advantages as: lighter, easier to clean (I am obsessed with things not looking "worn"), and potentially more protective of my stuff. I always go over the weight limit, even on 5 day trips, so lightweight is pretty important.

Thoughts? Any other suggestions for fun luggage? (I really only need a set of two - one jumbo big and one medium or carryon size). I don't want to spend more than $300, now that I know I can get one I like for under that.

Pink

In this color, I'm not sure if it's even possible to keep it looking new.  I'm all for a vibrant color or pattern that stands out.

Maybe you should try this Samsonite which has lots of really good reviews.  Comes in some good colors too!

I have a Samsonite hard case...It's a very nice suitcase, but I wouldn't call it lightweight, and it sounds like that's a concern for you. Are you able to go to the store and try some of these out?

Thanks for the suggestions! Lightweight is definitely my top priority, followed by cuteness, followed by something that won't look too worn. I accept that some wear and tear is inevitable, and I think metal is generally easier to clean than fabric.
