Need major help--cute shirt for new years!

I am in NEED of new shirts. For the past week, i have been buying plain sweaters from banana and express, pants, a new skirt and a new pair of sevens. For new years, i really want to wear knee high black boots, a black velvet skirt from gap but i have NOTHING to wear on top! Everything i have seen in stores has been really simple and plain. I am tired of buying plain tops! I really need some cute, stylish tops (esp. one for new years) I want to buy something that makes people ask me where i got my top because they love it so much. I dont know where else to look! Ive looked in banana, nordstroms, marshall fields, arden b, and express. Any more ideas??
